The story “A Pinch of Snuff” is written by Manohar Malgaonkar, a famous Indian novelist and short story writer. It is a humorous family drama. The author’s mother tells him that his uncle Nanukaka is coming to stay for a few days to meet the Welfare Minister. The author tries to stop him, but his mother insists, so he goes to receive Nanukaka at the station.
Nanukaka asks the author to take him to meet the Minister, but they fail to meet him. Later, they meet Ratiram, the son of Sohan Lal, a party leader. From him, Nanukaka learns that Sohan Lal and the Minister are not on good terms and that the Minister’s daughter will marry the son of the Maharaja of Ninnore.
Nanukaka cleverly borrows a big car and pretends to be the royal priest of the Maharaja, which impresses the Minister. Finally, the Minister himself visits Nanukaka, and his mission is successful.

A Pinch of Snuff कहानी के लेखक मनोहर मालगांवकर हैं, जो एक प्रसिद्ध भारतीय उपन्यासकार और कहानीकार थे। यह कहानी एक पारिवारिक हास्य नाटक है। कहानी में लेखक की मां बताती हैं कि उनके नानूकाका कुछ दिनों के लिए आने वाले हैं क्योंकि वे कल्याण मंत्री से मिलना चाहते हैं। लेखक उन्हें आने से रोकना चाहता है, लेकिन मां मना कर देती हैं। इसलिए लेखक स्टेशन जाकर नानूकाका को लेकर आता है।
नानूकाका लेखक से कहते हैं कि उन्हें मंत्री से मिलवाया जाए, लेकिन वे मंत्री से नहीं मिल पाते। रास्ते में उनकी मुलाकात रतिराम से होती है, जो सोहन लाल का बेटा है। नानूकाका को पता चलता है कि सोहन लाल और मंत्री के बीच संबंध अच्छे नहीं हैं और मंत्री की बेटी की शादी निन्नौर महाराज के बेटे से तय हो गई है।
फिर नानूकाका एक योजना बनाते हैं। वे एक बड़ी कार लेते हैं और खुद को निन्नौर महाराज के वंशानुगत पुजारी के रूप में प्रस्तुत करते हैं। मंत्री प्रभावित हो जाता है और अंत में खुद नानूकाका से मिलने लेखक के घर आता है। इस तरह नानूकाका का काम सफल हो जाता है।
